If you visit Bali, you must visit Kuta, which is the most popular tourist destination in the island. It is said that Kuta Beach is the most popular destination because thousands of tourists from all over the world flocking every year to enjoy the white sand beach, endless shopping opportunities, great surfs and memorable nightlife in Kuta’s bars and clubs. Definitely, there is no shortage of things to do in this area. The first thing you have to consider when visiting Kuta is the place to stay. This tourist spot offers a huge range of accommodation options ranging from budget backpacker bungalows, private villas, cottages up to 5 star luxury hotels. If you do not want to spend too much for hotel, you can try to take the cheaper option that is located around Poppies I and II. Those hotels are cheaper than any other spots; starts from around Rp 70,000/night. However, you have to check out the room before you pay so you can see exactly what you will get. You must know that you can bargain for the room, especially if you go there at a low season.

If you are looking for a higher standard of accommodation, there are plenty mid-range bungalows and cottages. Such accommodations offer a better service and location because they are located near popular spots. There are plenty of world class hotels in Kuta Beach. Some of those hotels are an international franchise and have large resorts outside. You can also rent a private villa which can be a good option for families or couples.

Kuta will bring everything to you. If you love shopping, there are hundreds of shops selling the usual tourist garb - sarongs, jewelry, beach dresses and t-shirts. You can also find surf stores there, selling boards and gear by some popular brands. One of the most interesting things you can find at those surf stores is that you can find lower prices than in other countries.  If you want to have western brand cafes and stores, you have to go to Discovery shopping mall.

Nightlife is one thing wanted by most tourists in Kuta Beach. It happens because there are bars and clubs in the area. If you go to those clubs and bars, you have to try local cocktails made from 'arak'. Kuta never sleeps. You can easily find parties, started from night to the morning. From the morning up to the evening, there are surfers go to Kuta Beach. It has various types of waves, so you can choose the type you like most.
